This policy explains what cookies are, which ones our website uses and how you can control them. It forms part of our Privacy Policy. "We", "us" and "our" mean Alvará – The College of Working Equitation Ltd (company number 17384770).
1. WHAT A COOKIE IS¶

Cookies set by us are first-party cookies; cookies set by another organisation through our pages are third-party cookies. Some last only until you close your browser (session cookies); others stay for a set period (persistent cookies).

When you first visit our website a banner asks how you would like us to use cookies. Nothing is pre-ticked. You may Accept All, Reject All, or open Preferences and choose by category. Essential cookies are always on, because the website cannot work without them.
You can change or withdraw your choice at any time by clicking Cookie Settings in the footer of every page. Withdrawing consent to analytics disables Google Analytics for your browser and deletes the analytics cookies it had set. We record your choice for one year, and we will ask again if we change the way we use cookies.
You can also block or delete cookies through your browser's settings. If you block essential cookies, parts of our website will not work.

Google Analytics tells us, in aggregate, which pages are read, from which countries and on what kinds of device. IP addresses are truncated before storage. Google's own use of this data is described in its privacy policy; you can also install Google's opt-out browser add-on.
4. LOCAL STORAGE¶
Some parts of our website use your browser's local storage rather than cookies to remember preferences on your device — for example the reading settings in the members' area. This information never leaves your device and is not sent to us.
5. THIRD-PARTY RESOURCES¶
Our pages load web fonts from Google Fonts and two small script libraries from a public content-delivery network. When your browser fetches these it sends the provider your IP address and standard request headers, as it would for any file on the web. They set no cookies through our website.
6. CHANGES¶
We will update this policy when the cookies we use change. The date at its foot tells you when it was last revised.
